For fifty years and throughout fifty U.S. states, Jerry’s street-style ballideering has entertained and engaged audiences to reach deeper into their humanity and their community for the benefit of all.

Jerry Leggett & Friends

Jerry’s music is a jazz-rock-folk fusion punctuated by his percussive acoustic guitar and nostalgic vocals…

Jerry Leggett

“From my earliest days, playing music has been a way to connect with the world and bring people together. My musical mentor, Pete Seeger, once said to me, “Jerry, play your tunes to help build a world where everyone is included and no one is ostracized.”

  • “Be Kind to yourself … and other Endangered Species” by Jerry Leggett & Patsy Ferrell

I spent a few years on Hawaii Island, playing tunes, writing music and working as the Director of the Crisis Mobile Outreach. Several of my songs grow out of my experience of interventions with young people in crisis and my own journey as. survivor of childhood trauma.

Gaining the skills to live peacefully in the present moment occupies much of my song material. I wrote a song, “Be Now” that recognizes the critical role that mindfulness plays in dealing with the adversity of life.
